The Hub provides access to mentorship, training, and need-based support—ensuring every visionary has the tools to thrive.
Our interdisciplinary, hands-on approach empowers entrepreneurs, engineers, and scientists to collaborate, solve real-world challenges, and commercialize new technologies. In partnership with local universities, MSIs (Minority-Serving Institutions), and community organizations, AAMU is building a strong pipeline of STEM-driven startups that will shape Alabama’s innovative economy for years to come.

Dr. Lyndell J. Parris is a visionary entrepreneur, educator, founder and a trailblazer with a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. She leads the Venture Hub with vision, grit, and lived experience. She brings an unwavering commitment to helping others launch ideas that create real-world impact. Her leadership reflects the very spirit of the Venture Hub—fearless, forward-thinking, and rooted in purpose.
Briana Paul brings a powerful blend of customer success, logistics, and startup experience to her role as Innovation Program Coordinator. With years of hands-on work supporting growing companies and navigating fast-paced entrepreneurial environments, Briana has developed a sharp operational mindset and a people-first approach. Her deep understanding of customer journeys and startup challenges gives her a unique ability to anticipate needs, remove roadblocks, and provide real-time support.
